This will be our last reminder message.<\/p>\n<p>Like most other years, this year&#8217;s tour will be comfortably walkable for most people, and we have lined up <strong>fifteen<\/strong>\u00a0\u2014 FIFTEEN! \u2014 delightful gardens for your horticultural pleasure!<\/p>\n<p>Our home base will be at\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/blogspot.us11.list-manage2.com\/track\/click?u=00d955bcbb279e5dd3d1fe038&amp;id=f961cd9bfc&amp;e=b3470cca3c\">Figaro&#8217;s Garden Centre<\/a>\u00a0(1896 Victoria Drive at 3rd Avenue). The area of the tour will be in the few blocks surrounding Figaro&#8217;s, so, once you get your map, you won&#8217;t have to travel far to get to your first garden. Check <a href=\"http:\/\/blogspot.us11.list-manage.com\/track\/click?u=00d955bcbb279e5dd3d1fe038&amp;id=88aa5cd85a&amp;e=b3470cca3c\">our East Vancouver Garden Tour blog<\/a> for up-to-the-minute info!<br \/>\nTickets are available now, and this year there are THREE ways to get them:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Click <a href=\"http:\/\/www.eventbrite.ca\/e\/east-van-garden-tour-tickets-17825017106\">here<\/a> to get your tickets online (note that there&#8217;s a small Eventbrite service charge on top of the $15 for the ticket)<\/li>\n<li>Or drop in to\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/blogspot.us11.list-manage.com\/track\/click?u=00d955bcbb279e5dd3d1fe038&amp;id=bb64022f26&amp;e=b3470cca3c\">Figaro&#8217;s Garden Centre<\/a>\u00a0to buy tickets (in person and $15 cash only)<\/li>\n<li>Or\u00a0order your tickets for the tour at Britannia Centre&#8217;s Info Centre, 1661 Napier, either in person or by phone at 604-718-5800.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>We recommend that you reserve your spot ahead of time to avoid disappointment. We will have some cash-only tickets available at Figaro&#8217;s on the day of the tour, but tickets are limited and we have sold out in recent years.<\/p>\n<p>On the day of the tour, you start at Figaro&#8217;s, check in, pick up your tour map, enjoy\u00a0coffee, juice, and goodies (by donation), and then head off to the gardens.<\/p>\n<p>The tour runs from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., but this is\u00a0<u>not<\/u>\u00a0an event you need to get to right on time. We often have a big rush of people right at 10:00, but there&#8217;s no hurry. You can come and go as you please. You&#8217;ll see exactly the same gardens if you get started at 11:00 or noon or 1:00 or even as late as 2:00! (Do, however, make sure you leave yourself enough time to see all the gardens! We don&#8217;t recommend starting the tour after 2:00.)<\/p>\n<p>You could, for example, pick up your tour map at 11:00, go visit a few gardens, stroll over to Car-Free Commercial Drive for lunch and festivities, and then return to the tour to see the rest of the gardens. Do, however, plan on being done by 4:00, when the gardens officially close.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Important Note:<\/strong> Sorry, but gardens are not bicycle-, stroller- or wheelchair-accessible,\u00a0children must be 12 years or older or babes in arms, and pets are not allowed. Also, unless you get the gardeners&#8217; permission,\u00a0photos are not permitted.<\/p>\n<p>People who attend the tour will get a one-time 20% discount at Figaro&#8217;s starting on the day of the tour and running through July 1 (Canada Day).<\/p>\n<p>Also, you may want to get on the Figaro&#8217;s e-mail list; if you do, they will let you know about special seasonal discounts and sales for their regular customers.
