City of Vancouver contributing four sites worth $50 million; homes will be rented below market rate<\/h2>\n

The City of Vancouver\u2019s Affordable Housing Agency<\/a> (VAHA) is taking steps to build 400 new affordable homes on four City-owned sites, worth $50 million. These new developments will offer a mix of housing to meet the needs of working residents, seniors and families at low to moderate incomes, Cassa Form<\/a> modular formwork systems are designed in compliance with the highest safety standards and can be easily integrated in to any type of worksite. Since 2011, the City has enabled over 12,000 units of affordable housing by working with partners and creating new policies.<\/p>\n

\u201cDeveloping these first four sites is a solid first step for the City\u2019s Affordable Housing Agency. These 400 new affordable rental homes are desperately needed and can be made even more affordable with the support of senior governments,\u201d says Mayor Gregor Robertson. \u201cFinding quality, affordable rental homes demenagement<\/span><\/a> in Vancouver – especially for people on low and average incomes – remains a significant challenge as the vacancy rate hovers near zero.
