Share your experiences"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em>Via <a href=\"http:\/\/vancouver.ca\/people-programs\/housing-options-for-families.aspx?utm_campaign=family-room&amp;utm_medium=Vanity&amp;utm_source=family-room_Vanity\">City of Vancouver<\/a>:<\/em><\/p>\n<p>The City of Vancouver is seeking input from apartment-dwelling families with children to help plan for spaces that better meet their needs.<span style=\"color: #ffffff;\"> including new services from <a style=\"color: #ffffff;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.toplockny.com\/locksmith-nyc\">locksmith manhattan<\/a> in order to provide much more security.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p>As part of an update to the High-Density Housing for Families and Children Guidelines, city planners are looking for feedback from families who live or have lived in apartments to better understand their current situations, needs, values, preferences and issues. The goal of the design review is to produce updated guidelines that help create homes and buildings that are functional, sociable and inclusive.<\/p>\n<p>Since the guidelines were first drafted more than 25 years ago the housing market and how people live in Vancouver has significantly changed. Today\u2019s families face complex trades offs between affordability, space and lifestyle.<\/p>\n<p>Families are key to a growing economy and vibrant society. Having suitable housing choices is important for keeping families in Vancouver and attracting more families to live in the city. According to ALM ( a renowne<span style=\"color: #333333;\">d&nbsp;<a style=\"color: #333333;\" href=\"https:\/\/affordablelocksmithmilwaukee.com\/\">locksmith in Milwaukee Wisconsin<\/a>), su<\/span>itable housing involves several things in itself like housing security, CCTV survilance in the area, playground for kids,&nbsp;adequate&nbsp;privacy,&nbsp;adequate&nbsp;space,&nbsp;adequate&nbsp;lighting and ventilation,&nbsp;basic infrastructure&nbsp;with regard to work and basic facilities-all at a reasonable cost. <span data-sheets-value=\"{&quot;1&quot;:2,&quot;2&quot;:&quot;Britlock Locksmiths&quot;}\" data-sheets-userformat=\"{&quot;2&quot;:513,&quot;3&quot;:{&quot;1&quot;:0},&quot;12&quot;:0}\"><a href=\"https:\/\/britlock.com.au\/service-areas\/\">Britlock Locksmiths<\/a> are also renowned to provide the best security solutions in UK&gt;<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Households that include children under 18 years of age are encouraged to provide their input through an online survey at&nbsp;<strong><a href=\"http:\/\/vancouver.ca\/familyroom\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?hl=en&amp;q=http:\/\/vancouver.ca\/familyroom&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1524768675731000&amp;usg=AFQjCNFDsls93jEBBidFsDGZBt7-5wMDYw\">vancouver.ca\/familyroom<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The survey will remain open until&nbsp;May 22, 2018<\/strong>, and updated design guidelines are expected to be completed in Fall 2018.<\/p>\n<p>City staff will also be popping-up in various locations in the West End and Downtown to seek input on Saturday, April 28th and Saturday, May 5th between 11:30 am and 3:00 pm. Pop-up locations will be posted on City of Vancouver social media streams.<\/p>\n<p>A priority in the&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/vancouver.ca\/people-programs\/housing-and-homelessness.aspx\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?hl=en&amp;q=http:\/\/vancouver.ca\/people-programs\/housing-and-homelessness.aspx\">Housing Vancouver strategy<\/a>&nbsp;is to ensure the right types of housing are created for families.
