What is the Workshop About?<\/em>
\nIncreasingly, we are having to think about energy and greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions as we plan for the future of our
\nneighbourhoods. How will planning for energy and reducing GHGs a\u001fect our communities? What opportunities do we have
\nto address energy and GHG issues, and at the same time maintain, or improve, the things we value about where we live?<\/p>\n

What Will We Do?<\/em>
\nThrough a series of interactive exercises, we will explore together how energy works in our neighbourhoods, and how we
\nmight plan and design our neighbourhoods for a lower carbon future.<\/p>\n

Who Will Attend?<\/em>
\nResidents of both the Grandview-Woodland<\/strong> and Marpole<\/strong> neighbourhoods of Vancouver are invited to attend the workshop, as part of the kick-off\u001f to the neighbourhood planning processes starting in the Fall of 2012. Please RSVP to Titania Lam at the City of Vancouver: 604-871-6302.<\/p>\n

Where?<\/em>
\nThe workshops will be held in the new BC Hydro Theatre, at the Centre for Interactive Research on Sustainability (CIRS), at UBC. The BC Hydro Theatre is a new, state of the art facility with a focus on exploring sustainable futures.<\/p>\n
