It is this kind of uncontrolled spread that has led to proposals to further restrict postering. Ironically, however, the kind of postering that is most resented - on public property such as parking machines and phone booths - is in fact already banned under the current by-law.
The answer to the problem is to enforce the existing by-law, rather than create an erratically-enforced new law.
