Is that a bowling alley sign? Don’t remember it or hearing of one right around there. And there is still a Reitman’s store on Wellington in Verdun that has been there forever.
That whole block was replaced by Place Montreal Trust sometime at the end of the eighties. I guess it wasn’t a massive architectural loss although I don’t think the replacement was an improvement in visual interest at street level.
It must’ve been kind of nuts when Ste-Catherine was a two-way street. I don’t know what year that changed.
