Well, if your of Irish descent, you pretty much know how Goose Village got bulldozed for nothing that was permanent. This is the first I have seen of anyone making a direct and public correlation.
I think some of the buildings that replaced Goose Village are still there (one of them now houses the port authority’s offices). Doesn’t change the fact that it was an entire neighbourhood wiped clean off the map… something that happened far too many times in Montreal.
OK, my french is terrible – but “Stoppons”?? Seriously?
