  1. Too bad it has lost its pretty tower, but the restoration looks nice. What is the building’s current vocation?

There are many beautiful buildings in Maisonneuve, not only the famous swimming pool and public market, but also the Maisonneuve City Hall (now a library/Maison de la culture) and that whole area, with a small hospital building – don’t know what it is used for now either).

The area south of Joliette, Pie-IX and Viau métros is rather isolated in terms of public transport. A tramline on one of the major streets south of the métros would be a big help.

  2. It’s actually a cultural center, they host various events and I think they have a small restaurant with a patio during the summer. You are right about Maisonneuve, it is a really nice part of the arrondissement, which is rather unkown too.
