2. Quand on voit ces grosses cabanes et on compare avec les conditions de vie du peuple, on se demande bien comment ces gens là on fourré le monde pour être si riche…

3. They were industrialists and Montreal was the center of Canadian industrialization. Had it not been for their connections to the capital markets in London and New York, Montreal would look like a very different place. They didn’t steal from people to become successful and wealthy and I didn’t realize creating jobs is held with such contempt. Yes, they were low paying jobs but that is not something exclusive to Quebec and to that era.
