Here is an upcoming event that could be of interest to Spacing readers who are residents of the Plateau Mont-Royal borough.
This Wednesday at 7pm, the local association of Projet Montréal will be hosting a community forum on Greening the Plateau. The event will take place at the House of Friendship, 120 Duluth East, and it is organized in collaboration with the following associations:
Greening Duluth
The Montreal Urban Ecology Centre
The Mile End Citizens Committee
Car Free Mile End
The Eco-Quartier Jeanne-Mance
Santropol Roulant and the Rooftop Garden Project
The participating organizations will give presentations about their work and ideas on the topic of greening (green laneways, green walls, etc.). Borough residents will then have the chance to express what sort of greening projects they’d like to see in the neighbourhood and what support citizens need to make these projects a reality. While this is not an official public consultation of the borough, the ideas that are expressed during the forum will be directed to the borough council and the newly created Advisory Committee on Greening.
