  1. Ha ha. I sometime see the most ‘awesome’ adverts for Peek Traffic Control devices (http://www.peek-traffic.com/index.htm). I am not sure if the word ‘awesome’ does these ads justice. Traffic/safety engineers must be very particular people.

    I am not a traffic engineer, but it was interesting to see one of these things ‘in action’.

  2. This is a newer traffic light for Montreal. Most are still not digital not do they have conflict monitors like this one does. Hopefully as more and more of these are installed there will also be more censors as well to control traffic and turning lights like they do in Brossard or almost everywhere on the planet.

  3. and this is one reason re-doing an intersection costs between $150,000 and $250,000.. and up.

    I’m not sure we need censors in our traffic lights though!

  4. Yup, sensors. Though having censers could be interesting, though the smoke would be bad for electronics.
