The view “of” the oratory is excellent. The view “from” the oratory is even better.
The cupola on top is soon to be open to tourist viewing, I can’t wait! It is a 360 degree viewpoint.
The sloping parking lots are supposed to be removed… any year now.
I love the oratoire!
I also greatly love the Oratory for evening walks and sunset viewing.
The top of the top stairs is a good lookout, but closed in winter. The uppermost parking lot, just above the tiny original chapel, is the other great spot to enjoy sunset any month of the year. You can also access here from an entrance from upper westmount.
I only just discovered this entrance in upper Westmount last Saturday evening, and the view of the lit dome from Surrey Gardens was marvelous!
À revoir et apprécier de nouveau.
