1. wider sidewalk = improvement
   prison-like anti-suicide fence = not an improvement
   fewer suicides = improvement
   complete lack of signage and bike path connectiions at either end of bridge bike path/sidewalk = still waiting for improvement (yes, there is one bike path connection at mtl end, but where’s the link northwards?)

   In other news, I once saw a dead jumper from this sidewalk and accept that these suicide bars serve a useful purpose. Hideous beyond belief, but useful. Because life is a beautiful thing.
