Having recently acquired the Ogilvy store on rue Sainte-Catherine, Holt Renfrew plan a major refurbishment of the store sometime in the future. The plans will also include building a hotel and condo units where the current Hotel de la Montagne is, together with an expansion as far west as Crescent street which has already resulted in the closing of a couple of businesses on the street, including the long-time favorite drinking hole for many – Thursday’s (which you can see in the image below now shuttered and awaiting the wrecking ball).
