On a Jane walk this weekend, it was pointed out that part of the alley behind Marven’s has been narrowed, and I did see that someone had claimed part of the alley with fence and lawn, leaving a narrow path. This leads me to wonder if alleys between the backs of rows of buildings were much more common, and have been gradually incorporated into the back lots.
