Some of the highlights include a conference with Peter Gibson, aka Roadsworth, a street artist famous for his stencil work; walking tours hosted by Daniel-Joseph Chapdelaine, an urbanist, and Francisco Garcia, a street artist; a video on street art; and music presented by Pop Montreal.

There are plenty of other events and you can see the full schedule at DARE-DARE’s website.

  1. I went just as Roadsworth was beginning his presentation. I knew of him and his work already but it was a very interesting presentation. It’s neat to see how much of his work yI see around but had no idea was his such as the chess boards at Place Émilie-Gamelin. He seemed to be having a hard time reconciling with himself the whole idea of whether or not he was “selling out” with the legal pieces he’s being commissioned to do (although, he still does illegal pieces, just not in Montreal).

The setting for the presentations was just wonderful, it was under the overpass at Parc Sans Nom but a bit further to the north as it gets lower to the ground. it was like a little outdoor conference room.
