La rue St-Paul ne se prolonge plus à l’est de la rue Nazareth. Celle-ci, tout comme les maisons de la photo ancienne furent remplacés au cours des années 60 par un tronçon d’autoroute.

Magnificent tower. We are fortunate to have a Pier Luigi Nervi tower that has been preserved and restored so well. Too bad the twin wasn’t built as according to the original plan.
It also too bad that that part of town has lost all its charm aside from Place Victoria.
It wasn’t supposed to be a twin, it was actually triplets.

Edward,
I respectfully disagree on the lost charm – to be precise, I think not all of it is lost. In fact, Cité Multimédia (e.g. Faubourg des Récollets) is a very interesting neighbourhood; the autoroute is an eyesore, of course, but the blocks south of Square Victoria are quite original. All this would be even more original without the parking lots that cover like 1/3 of it…
