I’m drawing a blank: what was that large building at right that was torn down? I remember it but cannot remember its name, or whether it was a hotel.
The laurentian hotel. It opened in 1948 and was torn down in 1978.
wow, what a short lifespan.
It is quite interesting but I think that the old Laurentian Hotel did more for the streetscape. It certainly gave it more interest from the sidewalk level; I am not the biggest fan of the office building that replace it.
