With many downtown churches abandoned or recycled, its can be easy to forget how Catholicism once reigned the landscape in Quebec and Montreal. This church on Papineau near Logan street flashes a neon reminder.

On that note, have a great Halloween everyone!

  1. …for those who don’t speak French, the translation would be something like: The wages of sin is hell; no one who is born of God will continue to sin.

The first line is inspired from Romans 6.23: For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

The second is from John 3:9: Whoever has been born of God does not sin, for His seed remains in him; and he cannot sin, because he has been born of God.
