Why is it awesome??? I wonder when will hipsters take their heads out of the mountain of meaninglessness they have created and realize that poverty is not “cool” or “awesome” and definitely not enviable in any way.
That’s a whole boatload of assumptions you got going there, Adolfo. It seems you have more of an axe to grind with certain “types” than you have any kind of openness to the possibilities of that image. Without any specific context -Child Serial Killer Poses As Busker- this is, quite simply, a wonderful picture.
I don’t think the little boy is necessarily poor; this is no longer a particularly poor area. I am inclined to think he just saw people busking and thought it would be a “cool” way of making a bit of pocket money, like kids running lemonade stands, bicycle washes and tiny garage sales.
It is a simply splendid photo. Yes, lots of stories could come out of it. If Alanah doesn’t mind, this is a great one for anyone who teaches languages or writing. I’m sure we’ll find everything from a poor kid supporting his family to a future entrepreneur in the stories, and yes, a murder mystery or two.
I was there all day Saturday and heard this little schmuck badly play the harmonica all afternoon.
What’s the big deal. He’s just some kid.
So the kid is a serial killer?? OMG!1!!11
