  1. Is Le ‘tit Milos gone for good or renovating??

  2. On voit bien la mosquée St-Michael, dans le fond… :)

  3. Aloha from Hawaii

This intersection hasn’t changed in decades. I walked this intersection 50 years ago and the buildings remain constant.

    Thank you for post.

  4. Hé! Ma soeur a habité juste là, au dessus du commerce à droite, il y a 25 ans!

C’était un bien beau, grand logement…

  5. Little Milos will reopen as an Italian restaurant with a chef related to the Milos group

  6. FWIW St. Michaels’ was modelled on the Hagia Sofia in Istanbul, hence the mosque-ish look about it. Also worth noting, at the time of its construction it was something of a feat of engineering as the dome is made of poured concrete! It’s got quite an interesting history behind it.

  7. Greynotgrey, it was originally an Irish church, was it not?

  8. Shawn, it was originally an Irish church, hence the shamrock and Celtic cross motifs. Its congregation became mostly Polish in the 1960s, but it still has some services in English.
