• The city strike continues into week four as mayor David Miller pushes forward a new offer, still refusing to request an arbitrator. As the provincial Liberals remain unwilling to legislate back municipal employees, it seems as if this strike has no end in sight.
• Local artist, Jerry Waese has been decorating the blog recently with his ‘Street Scenes’, capturing the colours and movement of urban life. This week, he offers his interpretation of the Ontario College of Art & Design (OCAD).
• Speaking of which, Cities for People is a summer workshop at OCAD that has been writing a series of interesting posts lately. Using the city as a laboratory, a lesser-known neighbourhood is selected, researched and dissected to identify an issue or reveal a hidden narrative. Discover Cresent Town, a United Way Priority Neighbourhood as explored through students’ psychogeographic maps.

Louise Harrel for mayor whats the joke ? I live in Hochelaga maisoneuve and in feb 2006 because of a broken water pipe on Ontario street conner OrelansI sliped on the pact of ice . When I called le 5600 hochelaga they told me that they didnt have the buget toput salt on our busy sidewalks`.
To make a long story short my left leg was amputated above the knee the city of montreal wanted to give a compensation of 300,0o that I refused The office of Louise Harrel Told me to close my compagny and to go on welfare because welfare would paY FOR MY MEDICATION.I told them that it was my left leg that they amputated not my brain.
Ive sent out my emailto louise harel in french because she cant speak a word of english and she dosent care about anyone but her self as long that she has her drinking buddy Laurent Blanchard she just dosent care for anyone or anything I have the proof
I’ve really been enjoying the blurb-writing of Miss Timea Jakab, and especially the relationship that was recently fostered with Spacing Toronto, the city in which I reside.
Thank you for mentioning the garbage strike. It is a huge issue in Toronto that needs to be addressed both by the Ontario government and by the federal government, to avoid such future (smelly) disasters.
