  2. Oh, what I wouldn’t do to get chip wagons and sausage carts back in Montreal. Seriously.

  3. I always found the convoy of food trucks (fries, chinese food, sausages, etc) in Toronto to be mildly amusing. When were they allowed here in Montreal?

  4. They were allowed here until the late 1960s or early 70s, when they were banned by the Drapeau administration (along with newspaper boxes and street vendors of all sorts, even the famous balloon man of Ste. Catherine St.).

    Most of Montreal’s chip trucks went to Ottawa where they did fine business.
