WHAT: Ottawa Architecture Week 2014
WHEN: September 29 – October 5, 2014
WHERE: Various locations across Ottawa
COST: Most events are free, unless otherwise noted
THEME: Topics on Intensification
We are a growing city. As we fill in and build upwards, intensification brings up intense feelings and diverse perspectives. It reminds us that the city is a collective project.
Beyond addressing the housing needs of a growing population, we face the design challenges of how to move through the city, and how to create opportunities for social connections in and across our neighbourhoods.
OAW ’14 explores the impacts of growth and asks us to consider how we manage intensification and continue to make Ottawa a more livable place.
We week includes building and neighbourhood tours, workshops, exhibits, and panels, in addition to multiple partnered events, listed below.
