Spacing would like to extend its congratulations to the winners of the Green Toronto Awards. A special shout out, in particular, goes to the non-profit organization Local Enhancement and Apprciation of Forests, better known as LEAF, which won an award for its efforts to educate Toronto residents on the importance of the urban forest. Spacing‘s Greenspace columnist, Todd Irvine, is LEAF’s outreach and communications coordinator. This summer, he’ll be leading walking tours of trees in neighbourhoods across the city.
