Haunted subway tunnels? A riot at Christie Pits? The CN Tower toppled into Lake Ontario?
Spacing columnist Amy Lavender Harris (Imagining Toronto) and Gary Michael Dault (Cells of Ourselves, The Milk of Birds) explore Toronto’s place in the literary imagination and discuss how Toronto writers capture the city’s diversity and growth, as well as its nightmares, desires, and secrets.
The talk will be held on (next) Thursday 31 May, 2007, at 7:00 at the Lillian H. Smith Library at 239 College Street. My guest will be Gary Michael Dault, a poet, painter and arts writer. As you already know, my own role in this is via the Imagining Toronto project, which explores intersections of literature and place in the Toronto region.
