I wonder if Adam Giambrone knows about this since he’s a cycling enthusiast Who else on city council could be approached to put this forward at a Council meeting?
The idea–cheeky that it is–starts elsewhere but we could take it forward on a grand scale.
Portland yet again! That’s it, I’m moving!
For a more relevant example, Montreal has been doing this for a couple of years every spring, until the end of fall. About 1-2 parking spaces are turned into racks that can hold about 10 or so bikes.
They will not do it here. The city would lose revenue from parking and storefront owners would raise hell.
