Montreal’s metro wasn’t brand new in 1976. It opened in 1966.
However, the metro had major extensions in 1976 thanks to the Olympics.

That is fabulous. I love how the sound of the metro was worked into the song. They could do something similar with the sound of the Scarborough RT. =)

Image wise, the metro is still beautifully stuck in the 60s and 70s. Almost feels like a time warp when you’re on it.

When I go on “Il autobus” I get hoarded into a quiet bus with no one breaking into song. 😉
I’m not sure how true this is but I have been told that at the 11 second mark (will show as 00:49 in YouTube bar) there is a short cameo from a young Mark Messier.
