I have two thoughts on the proposed Yorkville condo towers:
1. Can’t they retrofit the existing hotel building to house condos? Maybe retrofitting a building costs more than building a new one though.
2. The height complaint seems a bit strange considering the proximity to the manulife centre and 1 Bloor E.
The tourist thing was interesting as I thought our tourist biz was in some kind of peril. Had to laugh that next to the story was an ad for Richard Florida and how he has inspired cities. Boy that guy is busy.
