Spacing is happy to announce the venue and date of our spring 2008 issue release party: We’re going back to the Gladstone Hotel where we’ve held four previous release parties. Come out and enjoy the end of what should be a lovely weekend by mingling with other Spacing editors, readers, and urban enthusiasts (Jane’s Walk, which Spacing is a partner in, takes place that weekend).
We plan to have car-oriented video games displayed on the big screen for you to play. If we’re lucky, Frogger will be one of them.
If you like to dance, we’ve got the wonderful DJ trio Track Meet spinning tunes throughout the night.

OMG I love Frogger.
Pardon my asking but how does attendance reduce advertising in the magazine?
If we generate money at the release party we can sell less advertising in the mag, thus allowing more editorial content.
Independent magazines have tiny margins, so a room full of people = a big deal.
Hey, congrats to all of you at Spacing — you’re on the nominations list (twice) for the National Magazine Awards! See: http://tinyurl.com/5pxdod
