  1. In regards to the King’s street tunnel article, people do have the right to complain if bikers are going to fast on that sidewalk. Cyclists should be more considerate. ON the flip side, the answer to traffiking cyclers thru there is not to put up a “get off bike” sign, but to have the city acctually build a bike lane. But i guess until that happens, cyclists should defenitely at the very least, ride really slow around people.

  2. “people do have the right to complain if bikers are going to fast on that sidewalk.”

They have the right to complain if cyclists are on the sidewalk at all. It is, after all, illegal.

However, why doesn’t the article have anything to say about the matter of riding on the road? I’ve always wondered about the sign there; its a yellow diamond (advisory) and says “CYCLISTS DISMOUNT”.

Is for the sidewalk cyclists (shakes fist) or it telling me I need to get off my bike and walk it under the bridge on the sidewalk? I can’t just ride with traffic on the road? Why not?

King St. narrows slightly under the bridge, so I take the lane so somebody doesn’t try and squeeze past me in the same lane and squish me against the wall. Its perfectly legal and sensible to do so, so I think it should be posted something to that effect (“LANE NARROWS; CYCLISTS USE WHOLE LANE”).
