Re: Police Officers off-duty assignments … What a racket. About time that somebody started looking at this a lot more closely.
We simply need to revise the by-laws that require police officers to do work that simple sign-men can do. In many cases, a simple pilon would do. If you’re driving along, and there’s a backhow working in your lane, do you need a police officer to tell you to change lanes?
Man, that Sun article on the budget is hard to read without gagging. Do Sun readers actually live in their cars or just read their newspapers while driving them? Clearly they can’t handle any sort of balanced infrastructure work that doesn’t involve putting the needs of automobiles on a gold (and no-fee) platter.
