Spacing’s staff couldn’t be more proud of our senior editor Shawn Micallef: his first book, Stroll: Psychogeographic Walking Tours of Toronto, is set to launch next week.
Shawn joined Spacing just after we launched the first issue of the magazine in 2003 and in every issue since Shawn has written about Toronto from a psychogeographic perspective. He quickly found his way onto the pages of Eye Weekly where he’s been able to explore the city’s unique history and dynamics on a more regular basis. Stroll collects his best columns and essays from over the years, all of which Shawn has revisited to add more layers to his special story-telling style.
The book is co-published by our friends at Coach House Books and Eye Weekly, and edited by Edward Keenan (Eye’s Senior Editor and a Spacing contributing editor).

Congratulations Shawn! It will be fun to let your book guide me in an exploration of the city!
I love psychogeography! I have walked much of this city myself, but never thought of writing on it! Definitely going to pick up this book!
