  1. Will it now be “no dealerships in Leslieville”? The new plans don’t sound very desirable from a city-building perspective.

  2. uuugh, I’m so sad that Bixi is going to fail, especially because I was previously so naively excited about it. Bixi isn’t going to suddenly convince people that Toronto’s streets are fun to cycle on. My friends all say the same thing, “oh, Bixi Toronto, that sounds cool” but are any of them actually going to ride a bike downtown? No. The pathetic trial period only covers a small downtown area already well served by the TTC.  I just hope that when Bixi fails in Toronto the city realises they have to get serious about building cycling infrastructure. 

  3. bixi might end up being popular with people from the suburbs who travel to union station and then take a short trip on the ttc to work in the downtown core. bixi would be faster than walking and much cheaper than ttc fare.
