  1. Quote from “Da Mayor and Da Bears” linked above:
    —————–
Ford said he and the mayor are hoping to set up a meeting with Chicago Mayor Richard Daley, but won’t be in town very long.
    —————-

Oh, yeah, sure. Let’s see how that conversation would go.

    “Hello, Mayor Daley’s Office.”

“Uh, hi, um, I’m the Mayor of Toronto and I’m in town with my bro to watch the football game, and um, was wondering if Mayor Daley wanted to get, like, a hot dog or something?”

“Mayor Daley is at a formal state dinner hosting the President of China right now. Did you want to schedule a meeting to discuss urban green roof policy, or transit-oriented development, or steetscape landscaping?”

“Um, no, we kinda wanted to know if he thought Cutler’s knee would hold up or if the game would depend on Urlacher’s ability to run the blitz. And if he could get us some parking passes.”

“What rural village did you say you were from again? I’m sorry, the Mayor is very busy right now. Please call back later.”
