Despite all the folly, if Ford can really deliver on parking tax, I would have to applaud him on that one. If we have to pick one, I’d say parking tax is better than vehicle registration tax, as it targets all users of the city’s infrastructure, not just 416 car owners. Of course it would be better to have both so that more funds can be funnel into transit, but at least this change of mind is a rare positive.
