I’ll be part of a panel discussion on Saturday night after a showing of the movie “Artists on the Underground” – a documentary about a program on the London Underground that hires a notable artist to design the cover of the iconic tube map every time there’s a new edition (which works out to 1-2 times a year). I’ve seen the movie in preview, and it’s very interesting, well worth viewing if you are interested in transit, public art, or design. The panel includes myself, the director, Jared Schiller, and Sharon Switzer, Art in Transit programmer and curator for Pattison Onestop. It will be moderated by Leah Sandals, Online Editor at Canadian Art and former review editor for Spacing.
