Come out and celebrate the release our of Spring 2015 edition! We’re taking the party to the edge of the east end where we’ll have a fantastic view of the downtown skyline, which perfectly aligns with the theme of the magazine’s cover section: the sky.
Our contributors cover a range of topics related to our relationship with the space above our heads and buildings: light pollution, aerial advertising, the use of drones for police work, UFO sightings above Toronto, GPS satellites, and much more. Other articles in the issue include the spread of “little libraries,” how development lots are used before the buildings are built, how the city’s public art is flopping, and the value of the “stay-cation.”
$5 from each cover charge will be donated to FLAP (Fatal Light Awareness Program), which aims to reduce the amount of collisions birds have with buildings. FLAP was the first organization in the world to focus on this topic and was created here in Toronto in 1993.
