“Yonge St. losing its green streak” – perhaps I missed something but if it’s a park, then presumably it’s city property? Why would Minto have the right to build on it?
That said, it’s right beside North York Centre station which is where things should be built, not least since NYCentre does not have the connecting routes that Finch or Sheppard have to supplement their local catchment. Midway between stops is the most reasonable place to have public space frontage on Yonge since it allows those who live at the stops to access two different spaces within a short walk.
