With snow and ice on the ground once again but our city rinks long closed, today’s Satellite challenge offers you an opportunity to return to a classic skating figure: the figure 8.

With that in mind, can you tell which Toronto rink this figure 8-inspired development is closest to?

True to the popular vote, the closest rink is Westway Rink in Etobicoke. The development pictured is Tamarack Circle, off of Dixon Road.

  1. I’d say it’s the Westway because of the
    leafy
    vegetation. The two other sites don’t have
    that luxury(trees).

    Moreover, the neighbouring streets at the two other locations follow a more or less rectangular grid.

  2. In terms of leafiness, Scarborough Civic Centre and Albert Campbell Square are beside what looks like a small plot of forest.
