Lots of people will probably be interested in Artist beats ticket for ‘driving’ pedal car. (In an unusual twist, the artists were represented in court by a lawyer from the CAA.)
Pigeon poison killing hawks: probably perpetrated by the same kind of people who want to cut down perfectly healthy trees because the leaves “mess up my lawn.”
in “Hold off on circle roads: City”
“We’ll try anything when it comes to bicycles and narrowing roads, but nothing in terms of trying to accommodate the smoother flow of cars and commercial vehicles,” complained Councillor Case Ootes. “Let’s not forget commercial vehicles — a critical part of the whole picture.”
Bullshit. That is why we have as many intersections engineered as hostile to bicyclists and pedestrians as we do. That is why it is such a battle to see them engineered for ALL ENTITLED road users. Bicyclists are NOT happy with the narrowing of Lansdowne. The South Kingsway/Queensway intersection is a barrier to other than motor vehicle road users. Roundabouts once again ignore the needs of pedestrian and bicyclist safe passage for the convenience of autoholics.
Will someone please buy Case Ootes a clue. Enrol him in autholics anonymous please!
