I much appreciated the link to the Sun’s bike theft article.
Who is buying these “hot” bikes?Is there that big of a market?Maybe we should start strict enforcement of ” stolen property” rules.
An officer once told me a hilarious story of how his bicycle was stolen from him in the harbourfront area.A foot pursuit followed and the culprit was never caught.He had unlocked the bicycle from a city post when he realized that he had dropped one of his riding gloves behind him a few meters away.He took a few steps to retrieve the glove,and a thief jumped on his bike and rode away.Bike was never recovered.
