Sweet! A new rail trail which will inevitably be taken over by joggers, baby strollers, and dog walkers.
And what’s wrong with that?
The commuting hours should be pretty clear for bike commuters.
These trails are “multi-use” trails not bikes-only trails.
It is sad to see SOME cyclists either trying to intimidate or push walkers off of trails like the MGT trail or the Don Valley trail when walkers and joggers have every right to be there.
This includes the beaches section of the MGT even with a boardwalk several meters to the south!
We do have bike lanes for cyclists only but if there is no need for snow storage in the wintertime or for temporary parking for people who need to run to the store, the bank, etc…..
I live very close to the new Rail path, and I’m a cyclist.
However, this being a *multi-use* trail, I have absolutely no problem with joggers, baby strollers, and dog walkers using it too.
This is a park for all of us to enjoy.
I look forward to seeing this opened up.
