Pedestrianism is spreading across the land as the City of Courtenay staff start looking into the feasibility of building a pedestrian/cycling bridge over the Courtenay River at Sixth Street.

After two long years of community effort to raise over $45, 000, Parkside Centennial Elementary School in Aldergrove has a new playground.

And now to Port Alberni where local residents are not overly impressed with council as they reject the request to revitalize Weaver Park in the heart of Port Alberni’s downtown core.

  1. After another invite back to city council they came up with a plan to help us get our playstructure By putting up half the money and also giving us ta later extension to the end of the year to pay the rest off. NOVEMBER 12TH the Weaver park playground will be revitalized.
