Community and Neighbourhood Arts Development Grants Program

The Community and Neighbourhood Arts Development Grants Program supports artist and community-driven collaborations, cultural events and parades that celebrate and promote Vancouver’s unique communities and neighbourhoods through arts and cultural activities ranging from amateur to professional practices. The program is open to non-profit arts organizations wanting to undertake arts and cultural initiatives with an aim to:
• Celebrate and promote the diversity and unique characteristics of Vancouver’s communities and its residents
• Encourage meaningful collaboration and engagement between artists and community members
• Provide benefits to artists and community members (skill development, learning opportunities, access to new ideas and experiences)
• Provide opportunities for the public to enjoy and participate in arts and culture within their community or neighbourhood

FREE Public information sessions
Community non-profit organizations, artists, and all interested parties are welcome to join Cultural Services staff to learn more about the program, what organizations and projects are eligible, what types projects have been successful and what is required to make an application. The information sessions are free, but space is limited to 60 spaces per workshop. Register now through Eventbrite.
• Monday, January 9th, 6:00 – 7:30 pm at Kensington Community Centre – Seniors Lounge, 5175 Dumfries Street
• Wednesday, January 11th, 6:00 – 7:30 pm at Chinese Cultural Centre – 2nd floor Boardroom, 50 East Pender Street

Workshops (Dates and Location TBA)
