Each week of the Project Management workshop focuses on specific areas of project management while interconnecting in a comprehensive series over four Monday evenings. Facilitated by experienced professional project managers, participants will learn how to apply the principles and practices of project management within a not for profit context.

Workshop 1 – Project Foundation & Communication
Learn project management terms and concepts, how to define the work required for your project and effective communication planning for stakeholders.

Workshop 2 – Formalizing the Project
Learn how to assess and document the project in its initial stage, formalize the scope, assumptions and constraints and complete a risk management plan.

Workshop 3 – Project Planning and Estimating
Learn how to establish a plan for how the project will be implemented including creating estimates for the budget, schedule and resource plans.

Workshop 4 – Managing & Closing the Project
Learn various tools for managing and control of an active project, ending with a focus on proper closing.
