The City of Terrace has teamed up with the Regional District of Kitimat-Stikine in hopes of recycling glass for local uses. The pilot project could start in the spring, if all goes to plan.

Victoria’s only strip club – Monty’s Exotic Showroom Pub – are numbered as Vancouver-based Developer GMC Projects Inc. has set a closing date this summer for their purchase of the Victoria Plaza Hotel, at the corner of Government Street and Pandora Avenue.

B.C. is set to have another ski resort as the Province approved development of the Jumbo Glacier Alpine Resort, a controversial year-round ski resort 55 kilometres west of Invermere.

Great news for the District of 100 Mile House as the Bridge Creek Trails in Centennial Park have been approved for a funding influx of $280,000 for improvements, including the waterfalls trail closed since vandals damaged two bridges last fall.

The Kootenay Lake Outdoor Skate Park Society could be breaking ground as early as this summer after an announcement that they will be the recipients of a $400,000 grant.

  1. A note: although Monty’s may be the City of Victoria’s only strip club, the Fox up in Saanich does still exist.
