It is with considerable excitement that the UBC Farm would like to announce our first Saturday Farm Market for the 2012 season, happening this Saturday! Please join us on site every Saturday from 9am – 1pm through October for a diverse and delicious selection of farm-fresh produce, herbs, eggs and flowers. The market also hosts other vendors who will be selling produce, fresh bread, coffee, local handicrafts, fruit, plus family-friendly activities and entertainment.
Our markets are a truly unique feature of the UBC campus and Greater Vancouver at large: as the only on-farm market in Vancouver, you can see firsthand the fields where your food is grown. The Farm is an agrarian oasis in the heart of Vancouver, making it a beautiful and peaceful Saturday destination. Our market is also a hub for new farmers, so your support helps grow the next generation of farmers!
An important note about this year’s markets: there is a change of access to the Farm due to construction in South Campus. You can now access the Farm along Gray Ave, as well as using the 41 bus, which now stops at Birney Ave. For more information, please see this Google Map.
