Join us at one of 125 Vancouver Heritage Foundation Places That Matter Plaque Presentations taking place all over the city!

The Places That Matter project evolved from the Vancouver 125th Anniversary celebrations when the VHF asked the public to nominate a place, person, or event that is important to Vancouver but that has yet to receive the acknowledgement that it deserves. The Places That Matter plaque project is all about collaboration – sharing with the community the good, the bad and the totally cool stories about Vancouver that aren’t necessarily known or celebrated.

There are 3 great free plaque presentations this weekend:

Sat. September 15thFirst Sikh Temple 1pm at 1860 West 2nd moving 2 blocks East to a reception at East India Carpets at 1606 W. 2nd Ave,

Sat. September 15thMountain View Cemetery 3:30-3:45pm inside the cemetery grounds, South corner Fraser & 33rd inside the cemetery grounds, and

Sunday September 16thCoopenanny at Riverfront Park 12pm presentation, Western-themed celebration until 4pm, 2750 SE Kent!
