O Christmas Tree Community Celebration
Mount Pleasant BIA Hosts a Family-Friendly Holiday Event with FREE Hot Chocolate
Light up your holiday season at the Mount Pleasant BIA’s (MPBIA) O Christmas Tree Light Up Ceremony on Friday, December 7th from 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm at the community gathering spot on the south-west corner of Kingsway and Broadway – across the street from Kingsgate Mall.
This FREE, family-friendly event will celebrate this year’s holidays – and the strong community spirit of the Mount Pleasant neighbourhood – with a Christmas tree light up, FREE hot chocolate and candy canes from the MPBIA, a magical visit from Santa, and awesome entertainment by Kids Sing Chorus and the Caminando Carolers.
Hundreds of lights and adorable, hand-crafted decorations, made by local MPBIA school children, will adorn a Christmas tree that will serve as a welcoming beacon for our community throughout the holidays, greeting and warming the hearts of locals and tourists during the season’s dark winter nights.
Inspired by the success of last year’s O Christmas Tree Community Celebration, the MPBIA is pleased to be collaborating with Urban Source Alternative Art Materials, Mount Pleasant Elementary, Florence Nightingale Elementary, Simon Fraser Elementary, Kids Sing Chorus, the Caminando Carolers, and Rize Alliance Properties for this fun-filled community event. All of these groups, plus the Mount Pleasant BIA community, are proud to be partners for this spirit-inspiring, community-wide holiday event.
Light up your holidays, and your Friday night, with the Mount Pleasant BIA’s 3nd Annual O Christmas Tree Community Celebration on Friday, December 7th from 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm, and make this neighbourhood tradition a family tradition as well!
